Warm wayfinding for the
Scottish National Gallery
The Scottish National Gallery is big and getting bigger. We designed a series of new signposting hoardings to help visitors navigate its redevelopment.
THE BRIEF
No art gallery wants to see its visitors frustrated by blocked doors and redirected pathways. The solution is to write and design beautiful, thoughtful signs to help them get around. Without upstaging the artworks on display.
A Little Levity

Wayfinding signage is fundamentally functional by nature, but it doesn’t mean it can’t sound human. For longer dwell time moments, we worked carefully with curators to write a gentle balance between information and inspiration.
